W.D. O’CONNELL WHISKEY MERCHANTS CELEBRATES A NEW MILESTONE

ADDS SWEDEN AS ITS NINTH MARKET, CONTINUING EXPANSION IN 2022

On January 22, 2022, W.D O’Connell Whiskey Merchants will have bottles available in its ninth market, adding Sweden to a list that grew substantially in 2021 and will continue to expand this year.

For the first time, our Bill Phil Peated Single Malt and our 10-Year Old Single Grain will be available in Sweden, through distribution partner Northern Beverages.

When asked about adding W.D. O’Connell Whiskey Merchants to their portfolio, CEO of Northern Beverages Peter Hafverkorn said: “We are excited to introduce W.D O’Connell Whiskey Merchants into the Swedish market. They provide our portfolio with new depth by adding Single Grain , Peated Single Malts , Exclusive Single casks and of course their Pot Still whiskeys in the future. Our ambition is to have a portfolio of selected premium brands and the addition of W.D O’Connell is in line with that strategy. With the addition of Sweden, W.D. O’Connell Whiskey Merchants have bottles in the US, South Africa, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, the UK and Ireland, and marks a new milestone in the continued growth of the company.
